thanks
Anne,
Thanks, horses are my life and heartfelt constructive criticism is welcome.Jonas did not die because of my neglect he was like a son to me.He died because people who did not know this horse unhitched,as dusk was coming on I would have never unhitched him or my big horse till the sun came up as had done in the process of training. This had been done many times safely without any rubs or a scratch.I would have never unhitched him without surveying the surroundings. There was a special iorn ring on each side of the wagon for both horses with rubber covered tie chains.Somehow he unhitched his snap and got loose.I had asked the vet for a tranquilizer she gave me bute. He was pawing ready to go. After he slipped his lead he travelled around compound he found way out went three roads down then crossed 441
consequently getting hit by truck dying instantly.
During the course of our training I was in regular touch with three people who make there living with driving horses. I did not go into this blind or alone,an outrider was flown from Idaho but found job on farm and dissapeard. My feed program was as it should be as i have dealt with horse that were born and could not sweat but raced anyway (bosses orders not mine). I had thirty gallons of water and elecric solar powered pump. I covered thirty miles in three days accident was third night.
As for all the people willing to help they turned their snooty noses up at me.,They drive little carraiges
my horses were outfitted with full face working collars as thats what they needed.one man could pull that wagon without water in tank 2 with.We care fully balanced the load.
Anne I would like to speak with you about these organizations you named please. the boys had logged well over a hundred miles a little at time. I wish I had time to greive but I'll just cry through it in my heart. Rodney
