Tragedy is unpredictable,I learned this at a very young age when my best freind died in a boating
accident. After that I knew life was not a promise but a fleeting gift. I lived every day like there was no
tommorrow. Well I was 15 then I'm51 now and life goes on. Beleive this or not dealing with my injury
was easier than dealing with the loss of a woman whom I still think of every day.you already know of my
injury and proving that life can still be rewarding.
The time I spent with Jonas was as rewarding as anything you can imagine. The loss will be with me as long as i live.He was royalty in his own right as his father was a grand champion. The loss to the breed is in itself trajic. His personality was awesome,he would tease Soercha knowing the older horse could at any time take him down but they never hurt each other even after I started shoeing them. The funniest thing
to see was the big horse biting his rump till he would just sit down on his rump as to say no more. And he cared for me,one time my chair threw me grazing him in the yard.He came to me let me grab his halter and my chair then stood like a rock while I pulled myself back up into my chair then grabbed my hat and ran to the end of lead shaking it at me.
But I digress the loss of this horse was trajedy for sure but there are so many people out there suffering
when there is technology making leaps and bounds but not being allowed on humans. A chaplain I've
met recently told me of a rider who broke his neck,a child hit by a car so bad they would not let his mother see him. Then yesterday a cyclone hit overseas killing thousands.
Makes my troubles seem small. So set back or not I can only go forward and do my best to accomplish my goals. GOD willing I will. To get as far as i have is a triumph in itself.
