Life is a house of cards.
The first tragedy has already been conquered, thank the Lord. Katheline Allen, the breeder and person
who raised those fine morgan horses I trained to pull. A while back she had a battle with cancer.
Despite all her pain she prayed and fought. Never letting her horses or her family down.
She taught those morgans with patience and love. Behind that love that became all they knew. Kathy
never let them down nor them her.She is an honorable lady with a heart of gold. Again she faces true heartbreak (me too).
We met through her daughter consequently became freinds. She took me to meet her horses. I was as
impressed with her horses (especially the boys). We saw each other fairly regular as lunchtime was
right on my way to the sale barn. I told her of my dream of a horse park for the disabled and training a team of horses to pull a wagon across the country to promote this venture. With that this special lady
saw my determination and ability and allowed theses horses to come to my little gods acre.
I spent two years building my relationship with these grand animals. Rolling my wheelchair through
fifty yards of sugar sand to care for them daily. A strong love grew between myself the horses and dawg.
We communicated so well I got them hooked to the wagon in 9 days! They took to the job as if they were born to it. In fact there versatility is what the morgan is famous for.
As the project grew my neighbor Frank moore and his son Bryce helped regular and still are (god bless them). that mans heart is big as texas.
I have written since high school, this by far is the hardest thing I have ever hade to write. The next tragedy was my accident, read next blog.

THE WAGON WAS BUILT WITH A LOT OF CARE HAD AN EXTRA WHEEL MOUNTED AT THE FRONT SO THE WEIGHT OF THE LOAD WAS NOT PUTTING ANY PRESSURE ON THOSE HORSES. IT WASNT A PIECE OF CRAP. THAT WAGON WAS BUILT SPECIFICALLY FOR A HANDICAPPED PERSON. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE LIGHTER BUT IT WOULDNT HAVE MATTERED WITH THE EXTRA WHEEL THE LOAD WAS EVENLY DISTRIBUTED. IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT DRIVING WHY DON'T YOU HELP DESIGN AND SET UP A WAGON THAT SERVES THE SAME PRINCILES FOR A HANDICAP ACCESIBLE WAGON. DIDNT THINK SO, CAUSE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT A PERSON GOES THROUGH BEING IN THIS SITUATION. IF YOU ONLY HAD TO WALK AWHILE IN OUR SHOES YOU WOULD SEE WHAT HE IS TRYING TO DO IS A BLESSING. I HOPE HE COMES UP WITH A WAY TO DO THIS TRIP AND PROVES ALL YOU PEOPLE WRONG. IT WAS UNFORTUNATE WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT HORSE BUT IF THE VET HADNT ASKED THAT THE HORSES BE REMOVED FROM THE HARNESSES HE WOULD NOT HAVE GOT OUT OF HIS HALTER AND WANDERED INTO THE ROAD. FURTHERMORE FOR PEOPLE WHO DONT WANT TO SEE RODNEY DO THIS, WHY DONT YOU STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND HELP DONATE MONEY FOR STEM CELL RESEARCH. OH THATS RIGHT WHY THE HELL SHOULD YOU CARE, YOU HAVE NEVER HAD TO DEAL WITH ANY HANDICAPPED PEOPLE AND PROBABLY DON'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED WITH US. yOU THINK THEY ARE A DISEASE OR SOMETHING, YOU ALWAYS LOOK AT US LIKE WE ARE DEFFECTIVE OR SOMETHING. THEN YOU STARE OFF LIKE YOU CANT BE BOTHERED AND WE SHOULD BE LOCKED AWAY SOMEWHERE. GET A HEART!!1
