Chaplancy
There is another worthy charity I would strive to help with my (team) and their journey across this
beautiful country. The Racetrack Chaplancy, you see their goal is to help every one who works in
the barn area (backside of racetrack).
Behind the cameras, the racing teams. The first trainer I worked for had a card. It said
Johnny Goodman Racing Team
The first thing you learned was that it took a whole team to win races. From the man who decides
what each horse does any given time as far as conditioning to the man or youngster who cooled out
the hot horses each morning they train (the hotwalker). The groom, he lives with these horses.
The groom knows how his hoss is feeling quicker than anyone, his life is his shedrow. The horses
in his care,he reports to assistant trainer anything (to much to list). The gallop boy ,even if it's a
girl. They report straight back to stall where groom is waighting with fresh bed and haybag.
These are horses averaging over 900 pounds feeling their oats(rowdy at times). But I digress these
dedicated people's life revolves around seeing to these horses welfare.
The chaplain is there for these people, some never leave track in any way he can. He's way
outnumbered therefore it,s a tuff job. But they are there Under funded understaffed yet they
still seem to know every one on backside.
In few words I would be hohnered to be sponsored by this non profit organization and assist helping those whom have helped me in the past.

Dear Rodney!
What an exciting time this is my very kind friend. Daily I've worked to call out for sponsorship to aid your causes and every person I've asked to help is willing to give. This renews my Faith in mankind.
There are so many sponsors lining up to launch your cross-country drive.
I cannot tell you how very proud of you I am.
Your attitude and outlook on life amazes me and inspires me in my own life.
Your courage, dedication and Faith in God also are the things that make you such a unique and genuine person.
The life that you have given "the boys" your team mates in this cross-country venture; is an amazing gift.
Through your efforts with your journey you have already given far more than you realize.
When you have reached the CA. Coast line..with 1,000 wheelchairs to greet you; you will have sent the message that all humane people should hear. "That every horse, regardless of breed or purpose deserves a useful, doing life"..
You will have demonstrated that no one should ever feel that because of an injury or handicap; they are just a wheelchair. They still "Can Do"..my heart swells with pride because of this opportunity that YOU are giving to American handicapped individuals and horse lovers alike!
Keep that Pioneer spirit, keep your Faith never let nay-sayers hold your ear, instead turn head-first to your Team and follow them to the end of your dream. Keep your eyes firmly set ahead to the promise and your dream.
FOR THE MOUNTAIN MAN..WHO HAS BEEN TO THAT MOUNTAIN AND SEEN THE PROMISSED LAND..KEEP YOUR DREAM ALIVE..
THE FUTURE BELONGS TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN THE BEAUTY OF THEIR DREAMS
