Heading west
Hi,
First I want to thank Rebbeca, Linda, Emily, Rebbeca runs Dove hill farm taking in mistreated
horses, a really tough job both emotionally and physyically. I'm not sure how she does it!Hard
headed I think, dedicated I know. She introduced me to Linda a reporter from the Ocala Star
Banner paper.Linda needed me to find a place in Marion County, in doing so I met Emily .
She was at the first farm on the right coming into Marion County from Williston. A stroke of luck
on my part as she was very interested in my project and offered Ishalla Egyption bred Arabian
farm for photo shoot and interveiw (formerly Horsefeathers on 318) a beauitiful place full of
beautiful well bred Egyptian Arabian stallions and mares. She is very knowledgeable in the
lineage of theses horses.
Second you can see and read interveiws on the Banners website. She also offered a promotional
send off party and cook when I leave. To be hohnest i had my hands full with two stallions hictched
up in the middle of a her of breeding stock, my breeder Kathy Allen was there too,her well bred morgans behaved wonderfully in the excitement. My right hand Sarah was a great help as always.
Brothers Down rescue and recovery followed us on road for saftey's sake (my neihbor and freind).
All in all it was a wonderful day but as I said I had my hands full so I didnt visit or meet everybody involved. My heartfelt thanks go too all who participated.
But come what may soon I'm heading west. There are still some things I need, Emily is trying to
help get these things together, it's really not very much.As suggested I will make a wish list for
next blog. mostly spare equipment for whatever we may come across in 3000 miles.

Emily says:

HI Rodney,
We certainly enjoyed getting to meet you and your "Boys"..

Inshallah Heritage Arabians, LLC is the farm used for your interview and online video.

The owners of this farm are my friends and clients.

They also own Al Shaheen Bloodstock, LLC which is the stallion managment for the rare blood-line bloodstock in their unique breeding program.
My stallion is a part of this "team" if-you-will and he is a Straight Egyptian Arabian. In addition there are two other stallions; one Anglo-Arabian that is a coming three year-old we are all very excited about his potiental. The other stallion is a perfect boy..extremely well bred with over 21 crosses to the famous stallion Skrownek Crabbet foundation sire in just 5 generations, a very rare pedigree.

Your day at Inshallah Heritage was a great deal of fun for all of us and we are excited about your plans and will continue to support your efforts..

Again, thank you for your vision and plans to help all handicapped individuals via your driving efforts..best of luck to you and the "Boys"..

Best wishes,
Emily Godwin
